Stock Bot 2.0

Project URL: https://stocks.salonek.org/bot

After some time I revisited the idea of making a stock bot, however this time I took it seriously and did some comprehensive research. The whole philosophy of this bot is to find undervalued stocks for long-term investments. My research made me realize that there is no one way to know if a stock is really undervalued or just a value trap and quantitative research alone is not enough. However I wanted to test this theory. I made a complex scoring system based on quantitative indicators that have sector-aware scoring. Even though the data is publically accessible, I am not able to backtest the strategy very well because it would requre at least 10-15 years of financial sheets history for a huge ammount of stocks. Therefore I opted for the other option of just running the strategy live with my Stock Bot 2.0 against the S&P buy and hold strategy. Currently I am starting to see some weaknesses in my bot that could sitll be improved however I still want to let it run to get a clearer picture.

Rather than spotting unicorns I realized my scoring system is way better to actually spot bad and unhealthy stocks. I connected it to my Trading 212 portfolio so i can get a better overview of my status and where should I actually allocate my free cashflow.
