MD Dash

MDDash is an open-source platform for running reproducible molecular dynamics experiments. I built it at CERIT-SC to bring a complicated research workflow into one place, from experiment setup and simulation to resource tuning, analysis, and data management.
As the primary developer, I owned the technical implementation end to end. That included frontend and backend development, system architecture, Kubernetes and Helm deployment, JupyterHub integration, storage, CI/CD, testing, and production operations.
Most requirements came directly from researchers and my project lead, so a big part of the work was turning scientific needs into software that is reliable and actually pleasant to use. I later worked with a UI/UX team on a major redesign based on the original interface and workflows.
MDDash also became the subject of my bachelor's thesis at Masaryk University, which received the Faculty of Informatics Dean's Award. As part of the project handover, I trained a successor to continue its development.
